Many pictures were taken, much fun was had!

We started out arriving a little later than planned and got ready in about 15 minutes. I therefore accidentally discovered that off center center parts are the way to go. I wore my black dress, Sarah her new 1870 dress, and Sarah's husband, men's things :)

Ok, so we missed the battle yet again. But there was a lake! It was pretty! And twilatee and I took tons and tons of pictures. I wore my black silk dress (looking through old pictures yesterday made me want to wear it again!), but I only hooked the top hook. Today I fixed the armscyes on the mourning dress, shortened the back by 1/2" while I was at it, attached it to the skirt again, put closures on the bustle skirt and drape, moved the button on the bustle petticoat (it was too big) and rehemmed the elliptical petticoat ( Read more... )

I have one completed thing for Costume College, and that's the mourning dress. I decided that I'm going to wear that on Friday during the day. The Venetian is almost done. Well, it's 100% wearable, but the girdle's not done. And I want that. More because I spent lots on the parts than because I want to complete the thing ( Read more... )
